Church of Gruyères

Built in 1254, the Church of Saint-Théodule in Gruyères is notable for its imposing bell tower, which once served as an observation tower. Two side chapels, formerly separated from the church by walls, were attached to the central nave around 1800. In 1679 and again in 1856, the church suffered two fires and was rebuilt in 1860.

Saint-Théodule Church in Gruyères is open from 8am to 6pm all year round. For more information, visit the commune's website.
