Chapel of the Dâda

Chapel of the Dâda

2

The Notre-Dame de Compassion chapel at La Dâda (Dauda) replaced the first parish church in Grandvillard, dedicated to Saint Jacques, in 1701. With its hexagonal bulbous bell tower, it served as a model for the chapel of Notre-Dame des Marches in Broc. Outside, tufa crosses mark the boundaries of the former cemetery.

The chapel is private and open in July and August.
